Living in Mumbai we all know how the summers heat us up. Its inevitable though, you can’t stop yourself from going out right?! To avoid the summertime sadness I came up with this look. Perfect for the season, its time to go bonkers for some cute fairy stuff. I am someone who adores skirts, it’s my thing and yet again I came up with an outfit that involved these amazing midi skirts! I should get over this obsession right? Well I don’t know what others would say but the voice inside me says NO!
Anyway, so I was going through my Instagram feed and i saw this amazingly hot umbrella midi skirt being sold online. I didn’t wait a second and placed the order. The order arrived and gosh! it was so pretty! All the princessy stuff crossed my head one by one. Spring/Summers call for a more girly comfortable style, and the outfit that I am following here satisfies all the criteria. I paired the skirt with a plain cream top and minimal jewellery. Minimal make up complements the entire look and makes it look more comfortable itself. A clutch along with it is a necessity to keep all the daily summer essentials. Don’t forget to carry your evergreen aviators, or if you want to adopt a funky style, you could try on the sweet vintage round circular sunglasses (Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort ’15 was booming with it). We would normally prefer bright hues, but sometimes going with subtle combinations could be a better option. But this is what I chose, this is what my style is. All of us have our own style statements that were defined when we were born. Style always comes from within and is unalterable. So always follow what suits you the best and that you can carry off the best and trust me you will steal the show undoubtedly.
Some of the do’s for this bright season:
The midriff: Midriffs are seeing sun these days. Bareness above the belly button and not below is what makes it a classy do!
The maxi-dress: Florals, mixed and animal prints or just plain baby colors, they are available in almost everything that looks pretty!
The White on White: Make the trendy but classic look as your new Saturday outfit solution!
The vivid face: Step 1 – put on a bright lipstick, Step 2 – get those bold glares. There you go!
The blues: Blue is my favourite colour, so I think wearing blue this season goes without saying.
