The thought of this post struck me when I was watching the first new episode of Aahat (yeah I actually thought of watching it). I wanted to experiment if i could write better watching some mad stuff on TV. Lets see if I can. Well but these blogs don’t really comment on the writing ability of the blogger. It’s a food blog. You write what you see and what you taste. Nothing more. Simpler the better for the audience to understand, unless some gourmet wants to read my blog and would need an extreme level of description of the food that I order.
This happened in Masala Library. I entered the place at sharp 12 in the afternoon, since the bookings were full and they just had 2-3 tables for walk ins. I wanted to visit this place like for a really long time, and finally when i decided on it, I didn’t want to miss it by any chance. The place was empty when i entered, obviously no one comes at 12 (duh..), so we got a table. They claimed that the tables were full, but still by the end of my supper, few tables were still empty. Why do restaurants do this to maintain their exclusivity? If they provide high-toned food, they will stay exclusive any which ways. Coming back to the highly unusual preparations, it lived up to the anticipation. I was dazzled by their quirky presentation and innovative take on the Indian food. The highlights included all the complementary dishes such as the Thandai shot, the pan candy floss and the amazing kulfi lolly pop! I was so amazed just by the look of it that the entire main course was just a bonus for me. If you go by the chef’s recommendation, you might not enjoy all of the best food there. Go with what the waiters suggest, and trust me you will thank me for it. Over all it was more of an experience for me than just a meal. I would quite recommend this to all those Indian food lovers open to a different food experience. Just give it a try, you might just find it interesting!

One of the other places I went to recently was Hakkasan. People choose this when they are looking for some Pan-Asian delicacies. To be frank I went to this place because it was listed in the Celeb-spotting category on Zomato. Well Zomato can be misleading at times. But never in terms of food, this restaurant has one of the best Asian food anybody can ask for. Crystal dumpling and Steamed Dimsum Basket was best amongst the food that we ordered. It was a ladies night for us. And the interiors complemented our meet. The service was exemplary. A waiter greeted us with fresh hot towels before our meal started. This was followed by the mock-tails, the starters (mentioned above) and then the main course which included Stir Fry Tofu with French Beans and Hakka Hand Pulled Noodles. This combination was suggested by the waiter himself, and undoubtedly we didn’t regret ordering it. All embracing, my entire experience was convincing to my taste-buds and hence i was extremely satisfied. I will surely recommend this to all the Asian food lovers. A must try!

This was my experience over the past few weeks. Many more lined up ahead, watch out for this space!
Till then keep hogging! 🙂
