Even though we have seen the departmental stores filled with heart shaped candy boxes, super giant teddy bears or every other mushy thing possible since a while now, many of us on the morning of February 14th (my morning is almost afternoon on a no-school day) wake up with almost non existing valentines day plans.
Whether you wish to spend the rest of the day with your partner or your gal pals or just a set of close friends, you still have time to decide! Here is a list of restaurants in Manhattan, and around NYU, that I have compiled while making my own plans to do something constructive. And if the planning goes wrong, don’t forget that you don’t need a day to express your love for someone!
So, here’s the list..
DBGB Kitchen and Bar: Located in Bowery, it’s a perfect choice if you want to maximize your calorie to the dollar value. Forget your diet and treat yourself with some rich food here! They also have a great variety of dessert options. I also like the interior design and atmosphere, it’s pretty New York and urban!

Bryant Park Grill: With seasonal patio and rooftop dining, this restaurant provides a great view of the park! Service is friendly and the food is good. Maybe if you feel the meal is heavy, you can always take a stroll in the park. This place takes reservations, so go ahead and book it.. what are you waiting for!?

Pietro Nolita: They say this is a highly instagrammable all-pink restaurant! This is one of the new Italian eateries in Soho with a contemporary decor, all in an eye catching shade of Pink. I haven’t been here either, looking forward to a girls day out!

Carroll Place: The entrance might not even look very appealing, the interiors of this restaurant are cozy as heaven! With a huge bar and an amazing Italian menu, soft music playing in the background and a good conversation, leading to a perfect evening!

Hope you have a great evening. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Keep Smiling!
