In between the chilly days of Winter, there are some days when the New Yorkers get to go out of their apartments without their jackets (only if they checked their weather apps or saw other people Snapchatting). One such day I decided to walk out in my favorite turtle neck black dress! Sunny days definitely do not stop me from wearing black. Well dark colors keep you warm don’t they? Also I absolutely love turtlenecks. And they have been in trend since forever. I did carry my fall jacket along. Fall season is over, but you need something to save yourself when it gets windy all of a sudden.
Black is timeless, just as Christian Dior prominently quotes “Black is the most slimming of all colors. It is the most flattering. You can wear black at any time. You can wear it at any age. You can wear it for almost any occasion. I could write a book about black”. My love for black is unconditional. It has amplified a little bit more after I moved here. Well, I can go on and on about this and not be tired at all!
So, here I paired my all black outfit with a funky clutch and chunky jewelry! Color blocking is always a good idea! I coupled my lace-up boots with knee length woolen socks. The best thing about these socks is that you can always crumble them around your ankle when it isn’t very cold or when they get a little too uncomfortable.
As I said in my previous post, stylish eye-wear is an essential to complete your New York look. And for me I think big sunglasses hide all the sins! Don’t we all need them *Evil laugh*? As a self proclaimed beauty junkie, I am in a mission to find my signature lip color. Although, darker shades were never in my radar, but now my mom inspires me to wear it! And it also compliments my outfit well. A quick tip: Applying a thicker boundary with a darker shade and filling the inside of your lips with a lighter shade gives an amazing Ombré gradient effect on your lips which looks beautiful!
