Its not fair, being in India and I don’t try “east meets west” theme at all. Well, finally I did it. A Kurta becomes a tunic, a dupatta becomes a stole and a salwar becomes a pair of trousers. Fusion is the new Fashion. So why not try that as well.
West offers n number of options, and so does our own culture. But if we combine it, the scope doubles and gives the entire apparel a modern feel. I was motivated to go with this style because it fits well with our DNA’s. Out of all, skirts have been my favorite since always, and definitely a thing in 2014.
When I last paid a visit to my Grandma’s in Gujarat, I found this place with colorful kurtas and punjabi suits. I wondered if the place was worth entering, but I entered anyway. Surprisingly they had other varieties too! And there I noticed a pile of wrap around’s. I couldn’t resist myself and bought the most unique one.
Here I have paired it up with a tank top to add a little western touch to our desiness. The dazzling MK watch is my current favourite, always giving me company. It complemented the entire look very well making it come off all the more graceful. Along with this, minimal chunky jewellery polished my outfit.

Its best to create balance and break those myths that make people think that these combos might turn awkward. If not a tank, this skirt can be paired up with a crop top. Check out my previous posts and you will know what I am talking about. Minimizing the accessories depends on what kind of a duo you wear. If the colours are bright enough, the chunks of gold wont come off that well. But more you move on the darker side, the better these trinkets will pan out.
Lastly, theĀ upscale shoe collection in Forever 21 fascinated me to another extent. Brown leather with high-end details like stacked wooden heels, metallic accents, multiple buckles and cool cut outs was just perfect to top off my entire outfit and make it look classy and witty.
